1. Traditional recipe for homemade burritos

Ingredients

  • 3 tomatoes (150 g).
  • 2 cloves of garlic (2.5 g).
  • 2 red peppers (60 g).
  • 1 medium onion (40 g).
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste).
  • Flour tortillas (as necessary).
  • 2 cups of mozzarella cheese (200 g).
  • Extra virgin olive oil (to taste).
  • 1/2 kg of minced meat (pork, beef or lamb, according to taste).

Preparation

  1. First, peel and chop the onion, garlic cloves, and tomatoes.
  2. Second, season the minced meat to taste.
  3. Then, in a frying pan, add a drizzle of olive oil, add the onion and garlic pieces and add a little salt.
  4. Then, when the onion has browned a bit, add the chopped tomatoes.
  5. When the tomato has evaporated the water, add the minced meat to the pan and stir occasionally until golden brown.
  6. Then afterwards, grate or cut the cheese into small pieces and add it to the pan with the rest of the ingredients.
  7. Finally, heat the flour tortillas a little to wrap the ingredients. The number of tortillas you need will depend on the size of burritos you want to make. A minute (or less) in the microwave will do the trick.

Recommendation

2. Chicken burritos

Instead of minced meat, you can also prepare some delicious homemade chicken burritos. The recipe to prepare them is also very simple.

Chicken Burritos.

Ingredients

  • Salt to taste).
  • 1 onion (40 g).
  • 1 clove garlic.
  • Tabasco sauce (to taste).
  • 3 chicken breasts (350 g).
  • Olive oil (to taste)
  • 2 bell peppers, one green and one red, (60 g)
  • Wheat flour tortillas (as necessary).
  • 1 can of crushed tomato (200 mL).

Preparation

  1. First of all, cut the onion, peppers, garlic into small pieces.
  2. Second, sauté the onion, peppers and garlic in a pan with a little olive oil.
  3. When the vegetables are half done, cut the breasts into strips and add them to the pan with the rest of the ingredients.
  4. Then add half a can of crushed tomato and Tabasco, along with a touch of salt.
  5. Finally, heat the tortillas in the microwave (or in a skillet).

3. Rice burrito

Rice burritos are a bit different from the traditional ones but they are still very simple to prepare. Keep reading!

Rice burritos.

Ingredients

  • Salt to taste).
  • 1 red pepper (30 g).
  • 1 medium tomato (40 g).
  • 1/2 medium onion (15 g).
  • 1 can of mushrooms (250 g).
  • Virgin olive oil (to taste).
  • 1 cup of grated cheese (250 g).
  • A couple of lettuce leaves.
  • A handful of rice (per person).
  • Wheat flour tortillas.

Preparation

  1. First, cook the rice as you usually do.
  2. Second, peel the onion and cut it into strips, not too thick.
  3. Afterwards, wash the lettuce leaves , tomato, pepper and mushrooms and cut them into thin strips as well.
  4. Then, put olive oil in a pan and pour the onion with a little salt.
  5. When the onion begins to brown, add the tomato, mushrooms, and bell pepper and simmer. Stir every so often.
  6. When the preparation is ready, add the lettuce strips.
  7. Finally, fill the tortillas with rice and the refrito that you have prepared and roll them up.
