Cannelloni With Bolognese Sauce

Cannelloni recipe with bolognese sauce

Ingredients:

For the mass:

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ liter of milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the filling:

  • 1 package of Swiss chard
  • 400 g of ricotta

For the Bolognese:

  • 1 onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 600 g minced meat
  • 1 cup tomato
  • Salt, pepper, oregano (and the seasonings that you like the most)
  • Grated cheese to taste

Utensils:

  • A small pot or saucepan
  • A pan
  • A tablespoon
  • Oven plate

preparation:

  • We make the dough first. To do this, in a saucepan add the eggs, the sifted flour, the salt and the milk.
  • Then, mix it so that you have a thick cream and put it in the fridge.
  • For the filling, wash the chard and cut the ends.
  • Then, chop and fry in a pan with a few drops of oil. Then reserve.
  • Next, cut the onion and bell pepper into small cubes and sauté in oil so that they brown. Then, salt and pepper.
  • Then add the meat and mix well.
  • When the meat is done, add the tomato.
  • Then, season and season to taste.
  • Then take the chard. You can run it through the food disposer but it is not necessary. Then, mix it with the ricotta cheese and season.
  • Next, remove the batter from the fridge and make the pancakes. To do this, put a few drops of oil in a pan and with a ladle, add a little of the preparation. They cook straight away, so you have to be careful that they don’t burn. Turn and continue with the others until all the cream is finished.
  • Next, put some of the chard ricotta filling (not up to the edges so it doesn’t come off) and roll as tightly as possible.
  • Then, arrange them on a previously greased baking sheet, one next to the other.
  • Then, turn on the oven and spread the bolognese sauce. Lastly, sprinkle with the grated cheese.
  • Finally, take it to the oven and let the cheese gratin. And ready! Dinner is already over.

Ingredients:

For the mass:

  • Cannelloni plates (you can use the recipe above or buy them made)

For the Bolognese sauce:

  • 400 g of minced beef
  • 1 onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 celery
  • 600 ml tomato
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • Required amount of olive oil
  • Salt, pepper and oregano to taste
  • 1 cup of water

For the bechamel sauce:

  • 50g butter
  • 40 g of flour
  • 600 ml milk

What’s more:

  • Grated Parmesan cheese

preparation:

Bechamel sauce

  • First, chop the onion and garlic clove as finely as possible. Then  brown them in a little oil.
  • When they begin to be transparent, add the carrots, peeled and cut small and the chopped celery.
  • Then, place the minced meat until it changes color when cooked.
  • Then you just need to add the tomato sauce and the pinch of sugar.
  • Then, season and season to taste. Also pour the glass of water so that the sauce is not so strong (especially if the children are going to eat it).
  • Remove from heat when you have a thick sauce.
  • Now prepare the bechamel:  first melt the butter in a saucepan and add the flour little by little, while stirring. Then add the milk while continuing to turn with enveloping movements. Do this until you get a light cream.  Then, remove from the heat and reserve.
  • Next, turn on the oven and start to assemble the cannelloni. If you purchased the dough plates, cook them as directed by the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Then, on a baking sheet, put a tomato sauce base. Then fill with a tablespoon of the Bolognese sauce and close by rolling it tightly.
  • Then, place each cannelloni next to the other and over them, pour the bechamel sauce.
  • Finally, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and put in the oven to gratin (about 10 minutes).
