  • Peeled prawns (200 g)
  • Smoked salmon (50 g)
  • Oil for frying
  • Flour (as necessary)
  • Milk
  • 2 eggs
  • Bread crumbs
  • Salt

Preparation

prawns

  • Chop the onion very finely (it can be by hand or with a mincer).
  • Then chop the prawns and finally chop the crab along with the salmon.
  • Put a frying pan with oil on the fire. Once it is hot, add the onion and fry over a very low heat. As soon as it becomes soft, add the prawns and cook for 3 minutes.
  • Then add the crab sticks with the salmon and sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Pour milk over the mixture, until it is lightly coated. As soon as it begins to cook, add a little salt and gradually incorporate the flour while stirring.
  • When the dough peels off the edges of the pan and has consistency, remove from heat and let cool.
  • Pour the dough into a bowl, cover it and put it in the fridge until the next day.
  • Make the crab cakes with your hands, giving them an elongated shape.
  • Pass the croquettes through egg and breadcrumbs. Finally,  fry them in plenty of hot oil and place them on absorbent paper to drain.

Option 2: crab cakes

Ingredients

  • Crab meat (450 g)
  • Chopped green onions (60 g)
  • Chopped paprika (70 g)
  • Mayonnaise (100 ml)

  • 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard (15 g)
  • Salt (as necessary)

  • Next, add 2 tablespoons of crackers or dry bread crumbs and add more little by little, until the mixture takes the consistency of a croquettes dough.
